well first off you have to find your way to the the testing station  and then IF they allow you to drive it away! you have to find your way home to tell us what happened?

Just make sure you knock a few nails in them loose panels Maz and you give the tester the door padlock combination to get in; he'll need to move the mower and tools out of the way. ;)

Good Luck anyway

;) ;) Thanks..been having a search on the forum to see what kind of things she could fail on as ill be shocked if she does pass.

Anyway..lost the combination a while ago so ill let him in from the boot and then he can climb over the bikes/scooters/skates and anything else that i have thrown in there over the weekend. :o

Fingers crossed that she passes though.

WOOHOO!!..she PASSED!!!!!..Got advisories though and i def have an oil leak possibly from the rocker cover gasket.

advisories:

nearside side light is very dim needs replaceing

rear number plate is fading

Rear exhaust system is corroded-there is corrosion where the pipe goes into the box, now he said that the box and pipe will need replaceing as there is corrosion on the pipe aswell..possible join maybe??..as he showed me where it was he also showed me all the oil that had leaked.

Emissions she was clean as a whistle.

Im well chuffed.

I think it was all the questions i threw at him that made him pass it..he prob hopes i will take it elsewhere next year ;) ;)

Besides..been a fair few years since i fluttered my eyelashes at anyone.LMAO.

As long as the rust doesnt grow legs and walk to the nearest boozer to have a drink of scrumpy.and can slither unaided from one spot to the other it will pass. :P

Must have been the fluttering of the eyelashes or the coats of creosote Maz. ;) Thats good news anyway. :o

I can understand the fluttering of the eyelashes might "blind" the tester - but a coat of creosote? Hasn't he got a sense of smell? ;)

looks like a big baking tray to me......i am assumeing it will be black on the engine?

thanks for the pic by the way....

No probloads ...... yes if you remove the main Tdi badged plastic cover its the big black metal square one underneath with the oil filler hole. The bolts holding it to the head will be around the outside as opposed to the two in the middle of the one in the piccie above.

The black cover at the very top of the engine shown here is the rocker cover, it has the oil filler in it. It possibly just needs the 10mm bolts nipping up a tad. The gasket is a moulded rubber masterpiece - which would probably cost an arm and a leg
