Guest wolfie Posted February 24, 2007 Report Posted February 24, 2007 well first off you have to find your way to the the testing station  and then IF they allow you to drive it away! you have to find your way home to tell us what happened? Quote

Smilge Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 Just make sure you knock a few nails in them loose panels Maz and you give the tester the door padlock combination to get in; he'll need to move the mower and tools out of the way. ;) Good Luck anyway Quote

Hasn't he got a sense of smell? ;) Quote

Smilge Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 looks like a big baking tray to me......i am assumeing it will be black on the engine? thanks for the pic by the way.... No probloads ...... yes if you remove the main Tdi badged plastic cover its the big black metal square one underneath with the oil filler hole. The bolts holding it to the head will be around the outside as opposed to the two in the middle of the one in the piccie above. Quote
Dave-G Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 The black cover at the very top of the engine shown here is the rocker cover, it has the oil filler in it. It possibly just needs the 10mm bolts nipping up a tad. The gasket is a moulded rubber masterpiece - which would probably cost an arm and a leg http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/uploads/post-647-1155745553.jpg Quote
